BRANDING DESIGN

After years of collaborating with the Cotton+Steel design team, I was asked to update the C+S logo for a new quarterly collection concept, Around The World. This rebrand also involved creating coordinated content for social media, email newsletters, and promotional materials, significantly boosting brand awareness.


LAYOUT DESIGN

The Big Book catalogs were one of the most significant projects I developed for C+S and RJR Fabrics. This comprehensive catalog featured over 50 pages of collection graphics and marketing information for the latest fabric collections, along with details on C+S Sulky Threads, sewing notions, and project inspiration.

Using each season as inspiration, I created the covers and templates for each new collection to be clearly shown. Important marketing information, such as SKU numbers, pre-cut package details, and collection projects, was always included.


PACKAGE DESIGN

Each collection required tailored packaging and label designs for various pre-cut fabric bundles, including 2.5” jelly roll strips, 5” x 5” charm packs, 10” x 10” layer cakes, and fat quarter bundles. The labels prominently feature the collection logo and other essential details such as the collection name, designer, and pre-cut quantity and cut.


SOCIAL MEDIA DESIGN

While at Cotton+Steel and RJR Fabrics, I managed social media for both brands, creating branded content for their official Instagram accounts. I developed social media kits for each fabric collection, including slideshows, artists’ bios, promotional fabric photos, and detailed imagery of finished collection projects.

Below is an example of a sewing project inspiration post that I helped with concept and production. This post was for the collection, Garden & Globe, which was released during the pandemic, so we encouraged people to stay safe by making their masks with links to instructions and fabric combination examples.

I also created eye-catching animated graphics for special moments such as holidays and industry events, like the examples above, that were specifically made for the C+S Around the World campaign and for QuiltCon 2022.


NEWSLETTER DESIGN

Each new collection required an announcement newsletter introducing the featured artists and their designs. Every newsletter included a header image, fabric swatches, pre-cuts, and project mock-ups for inspiration.


WEBSITE DESIGN

As the lead of the marketing design team, I was responsible for creating and managing collection graphics and information to both C+S and RJR’s websites every season. In addition to images of fabric swatches, I ensured that all collection banners, project mock-ups, and coordinating basics were included, providing a cohesive and visually appealing presentation.


booth DESIGN

During Quilt Market & QuiltCon seasons, I made to-scale booth mockups that helped the team build out our booth when it came time. These mockups also helped me to know what scale to design and print our vinyls and other signage.

Along with signage, I also created supporting branding assets that were created specifically to highlight booth giveaways and other fun freebies like tote bags and project instructions kits.
